Food justice is an important part of community justice. We take donations from local businesses and use them to fight hunger. Help us connect with donors and with people in need.
All of our food is donated locally with the intention of directly impacting our community.
Every Sunday & Wednesday, we mobilize our team of volunteers to make a real difference. Join us and see what can be accomplished when you get an impassioned team to focus on change.
We are stepping up to help the Rappahannock Nation reclaim its traditional agriculture & sacred seeds. We will be restoring the lost crops of their ancestors as a promise to their future food sovereignty.
We provide educational programs & presentations for schools and community groups on topics such as food insecurity, indigenous agriculture, seed saving, and more.
If you have too many males or old females and don't want to feed them please consider donating them to us to feed those in need. We will take care of the processing. Geese, ducks, turkeys, chickens, Guinea, goats, sheep whatever! Donations are tax deductible.
By saving your seeds, we control our seed and therefore your food supply—we aren’t depending on seed stores or catalogs for difficult to find seed. Hundreds of excellent plant varieties have been discontinued as big corporations have consolidated the seed industry and focused on more profitable varieties. If you have a community garden or would like to plant your own vegetable garden please let us know and we will gladly provide seeds free of charge.
